Seobok Review (Park Bo Gum and Gong Yoo)

Spoiler Alert:

Seobok’ is a sci-fi film starring the two most loved male actors in Korea, and since its international release yesterday, we have seen a lot of their fans are raving for this movie. Originally supposed to release in December 2020, the movie was delayed due to the pandemic but now will finally release!

The story of the film revolves around Ki Heon (Gong Yoo) being tasked with a final mission of ensuring the safe transportation and protection of the first human clone Seobok (Park Bo Gum). The movie theme talks about life and death, a very timely topic as we deal with COVID19. Gong Yoo revealed in one of his interviews that he had first rejected the offer because he thought that the story was too big for him to convey. However, after talking in detail with director Lee Yong Joo, he finally was ready to play Ki Heon.

This is the first time that Gong Yoo and Park Bogum have worked together and this is worth of celebrating in the Philippines. This is why an avid superstar Anne Curtis also expressed her excitement

In a film and Gong Yoo praised his co-star with regard to their onscreen chemistry. β€œIt’s hard not to like him, because he’s so well-mannered and friendly. It was easy to concentrate when looking into his eyes because he has such a compelling gaze,” Gong Yoo told the Korea Times.

In the Philippines, both fandoms are celebrating with personalized touch and see below

I really got curious and I found out that there re novelty items which you can order to celebrate watching the film. Wow amazing!

Here’s my personal take: I love the drama and the the action, this is like watching X-Men but you get more Asians in the lead role. The fight scenes were ok but the drama and on how these 2 actors engage in their own scenes were amazing!

Are we crying for a sequel? Sure and love more Hallyu actors to be sharing on the same screen for international market. Go get your tickets now!
