25 January 2022: Manila, Philippines – To strengthen the alliance of Philippine LGBT+ businesses with LGBT+ business in Great Britain, the Philippines’ leading LGBT+ business organization The Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce (PLCC) has recently forged a partnership with OutBritain, UK’s first LGBT+ chamber of commerce.
The partnership will expand the organizations’ efforts to local affiliate chambers and LGBT+ business owners, encouraging cross participation in engagement opportunities. The organizations will also work to further advance international LGBT+ business certification and registration, as well as supplier diversity inclusion in Scotland & the rest of the United Kingdom and in the Philippines––including fostering a higher level of LGBT+ supplier inclusion with their respective corporate partners across our borders.
Says Ronn Astillas, PLCC Chair: “We are enthusiastic for our partnership with OutBritain, the premiere LGBT+ organization in the United Kingdom. Together with our membership in the US-headquartered National LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s Global Network, we hope that this will further advance our cause of championing Filipino LGBT+ businesses not just within the
Philippines, but across the world.”
Matt Dabrowski, founder & CEO of OutBritain, adds: “OutBritain is also excited to bring more events and be able to expand our global network. We hope to learn many new things from The Philippine LGBT Chamber of Commerce and exchange many ideas.” Founded in 2021, OutBritain envisions an economically empowered British LGBT+ business community that inspires others. The organization aims to assist UK’s small business entrepreneurs and professionals, collaborate with non-profit advocates, and engage with
business, corporations, and civic leaders to support policies that foster a more inclusive and welcoming business community, while learning about the economic vitality of the LGBT+ global community.
