Be spontaneous and find more interesting venues in Bulacan, so I’m here to share with you my amazing experience at Taverna by BNT, a restaurant and catering service that showcases the best of Bulacan’s cuisine and culture. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy delicious food, cozy ambiance, and friendly service, Taverna by BNT is the perfect choice for you!
Taverna by BNT is located at Independencia St., San Gabriel, Malolos, Central Luzon, in a historic house that dates back to the 19th century. The house, also known as Bahay na Tisa, was once the residence of Don Antonio Bautista, a prominent lawyer and patriot who fought for Philippine independence. The house has been preserved and restored to its original glory, with antique furniture, paintings, and memorabilia that showcase the rich heritage of Bulacan.
The restaurant is owned by Rina Aniag, a passionate entrepreneur who loves to promote tourism and culture in her hometown. She is accompanied by her son Brian, who finished his internship in a Michelin restaurant abroad and seems to be very optimistic in promoting the city of Malolos in Bulacan. Together, they have created a menu that features traditional Bulacan dishes with a modern twist, such as adobong pugo (quail adobo), kare-kareng baka (beef stew in peanut sauce), sinigang na hipon sa bayabas (shrimp in guava soup), and many more. They also offer catering services for events and occasions, with customized menus that suit your preferences and budget.
I was lucky enough to visit Taverna by BNT along with our friends from the Experience Travel and Living headed by Ms. Ana Manansala. We were warmly welcomed by Rina and Brian, who gave us a tour of the house and shared with us some interesting stories about its history and significance. We also met Paul John Galang, winner of Mister Grand Body and Looks Bulacan 2023 and also a winner from Ginoong Bulacan 2022. He resembles Miguel Tanfelix from GMA7 Kapuso’s Voltes V, don’t you think?
We then proceeded to the dining area, where we were treated to a feast of mouthwatering dishes that made us feel like we were in heaven. The food was cooked to perfection, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors that satisfied our taste buds. The portions were generous, and the presentation was elegant. We also enjoyed the refreshing drinks and desserts that complemented our meal. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who catered to our every need.
We had a wonderful time at Taverna by BNT, and we can’t wait to go back there again. It was truly an unforgettable experience that made us appreciate the beauty and diversity of Bulacan.
